MSM Service Trip – Lake Traverse, SD

We can learn a lot about Jesus from our neighbors who live only a few hours away! While spending time in Lake Traverse, our group will have the opportunity to learn the rich history and unique challenges of the native community. Service opportunities include children’s programming, working at local organizations, and painting, beautification and minor repair projects to support local homeowners and tribal partners. We’ll learn about Dakota culture from a community friend and explore a state park that is significant to the local tribe. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2005.
