The Way is a gathering of adults in their mid-20s to early 30s who seek to be centered in God's Way. Whether you are
transitioning into work life, grad school, relationships, or family lifeor are
juggling a combination of commitmentsThe Way is for you!
The purpose of The Way is to create a space to ask questions, draw on the gifts, strengths, and experiences of others, and wrestle with what it means to live as followers of Jesus. No matter where you are in your faith journey, whether you are feeling some gentle nudges to explore or you've been a church person your whole life, your voice and presence is welcome as we journey together on The Way.
Responses to this survey will be used to determine how and when we gather as The Way and will also shape the focus and content of opportunities with a greater learning/exploring focus.
Upcoming Events Join The Way Small Group Even though this group started in the fall, there is still space to add new people. Connect with others as we use the Connecting in Grace study: Radical Gifts, Radical Grace. Cost: $15. When: The second Tuesday of each month; 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Where: Caribou on 694 & Rice or Incarnation
Connecting Sometimes it is nice to know that there are others out there like you--people who are going through or have been through similar life experiences, people who are also curious about the intersection of faith and life. From time to time, The Way will gather just to connect and to meet new people.
Learning/Exploring There
are different ways of exploring faith and life. The Way/Young Working
Adults Small Group is one option here at Incarnation. Although that
group is now full for Fall 2009, there will be additional opportunities
in the future. If you are interested in being a part of a small group
opportunity with The Way, contact Pastor Jeanne Markquart. Check out other current Small Group Opportunities at Incarnation.
There are other great ways to learn and explore as part of the larger ministry of Incarnation. Check out the opportunities in Women's Ministry, Men's Ministry, and Adult Learning.
Serving Serving
others in the name of Jesus Christ is one of the most accessible a
meaningful ways to live centered in God's way. From time to time, there
will be special service opportunities for The Way to do as a group.
Check out other opportunities for service here at Incarnation or in the wider community.
Food for Thought Check out this thought-provoking video on people's perceptions of Jesus and of Christians.
"How can Jesus generally be seen as loving, compassionate and sincere, while at the same time many of those expressing those positive views of Jesus see his followers, Jesus' disciples, as out of touch, frightening and rigid? Especially when Jesus has told us we will be his witnesses in the world and that we are to be salt and light in our world. What picture of Jesus do people see through us?" --Gary Medin (Listen to this sermon from September 13, 2009)
Writer and preacher Will Willimon has said: "Wherever you are, whatever you do, you are a disciple of Jesus . . .The world is right judging Jesus on the basis of the sort of lives he produces. The only "proof" we have of the gospel in this world, the acid test for the validity of the gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ, is whether or not it is capable of producing lives that are a credit to the Master whom we are following."
