PRAYER is an expression of our relationship with God and is woven into the fabric of life at Incarnation. We pray individually and together as a faith community, interacting with God as partners in ministry, and seeking God’s heart and will. Prayer is one of Incarnation's
eight core values. Because prayer is such an essential part of how we connect with God and grow in faith, Prayer Ministry at Incarnation is designed to help individuals and the faith community as a whole.

The Peace Garden is located across the parking lot from Door 2 and near the Preschool Playground. The Peace Garden is a wonderful place to go and pray, for conversation and reflection, or even for lunch. There are several features to the Peace Garden including a rain garden, a prayer pavilion, a labyrinth and an array of plants and wildflowers whose variety provides constantly changing color in the summer. Check it out week by week and watch it come to life in different ways.

Twice a year, in
November and during Lent, the Incarnation community
comes together in prayer in an intentional way. Individuals and families
are asked to sign up for a 30-minute time slot at some point during
that day. For both events, a prayer guide is provided to comfort and
encourage you through your prayer time.
The fall prayer event,
Seeking God’s Heart and Will, is a time dedicated to praying for all
members and active participants by name and also praying for the mission
and different ministries of Incarnation.
During the Lenten Day
of Prayer, the focus is both inward as we reflect on our individual
needs and relationship with God and outward as we pray for the larger
community, our mission partners, and for peace and justice throughout
the world.
The second Sunday of December Incarnation
offers a prayer service for people who have experienced loss or are
experiencing difficulties in their lives.
Blue Christmas: A Candlelight Prayer Service acknowledges
that things are not always merry and festive during the Christmas
season and centers our hope and comfort in Jesus Christ.
The season of Lent is a good time to reflect on the areas in our lives that need healing. Come for a special Lenten Healing service. Come for yourself or bring someone you care about. While prayers for physical healing are included, the scope of God's
healing power is much broader than that and includes healing in our
relationships; during times of worry, fear, anxiety, or feeling
overwhelmed; for loss and grief; as well as healing in body, mind, and
spirit.
This prayer service offers time to
gather and receive or offer prayers for healing for oneself or others and will include music, scripture, prayers, and a time of blessing.

One of the easiest ways to support one another is by praying for the individuals listed on the Prayer Concerns list in the bulletin each week. To add your name or the name of a loved one to that public prayer list, simply contact the Incarnation Office at 651-484-7213 or email
Joan Volkmann. Individuals will remain on the public prayer concerns list for three weeks. To keep the person on the list longer, simply contact the Incarnation Office again with that request.
The person to be listed must be asked and give permission for their name to be included in the public prayer concerns list. This is to protect their privacy and respect their wishes. Members/Active Participants are listed by name, family members who are not members are listed by the relationship (i.e. John Smith's sister), and friends are listed by first name (i.e. Jane Doe's friend Sally).
The Public Prayer Concerns list is published in the bulletin each week and in the white Ministry Opportunities Sheet. If you were not in worship or did not receive a ministry opportunities sheet, visit the
Publications page where it is available for download.
If you or someone you know would like to be prayed for but not be included in the public prayer concerns list, you/they can be added to the Non-Published Prayer Concerns List which is prayed for each week by the Staff and Prayer Leaders and prayed for monthly by the Incarnation Congregation Council. These requests do remain confidential. Like the published prayer list, it is important to have permission from anyone being added to this list.
