Music Ministry
Incarnation’s Music Ministry has opportunities for people of all ages, offering great ways to use your musical gifts to help lead worship as part of an ensemble and to connect with the one another within this faith community. Whether you are an advanced musician or new to music, vocalist or instrumentalist, there is a place for you to use your passions for music to glorify God.

Opportunities to Get Involved

Incarnation’s Music Ministry includes both vocal and handbell choirs, Instrumental Ensembles, Worship Bands, and Primary Music. The music groups welcome all, whether formerly involved or not. If you’ve never been a part of the music ministry before, consider joining us this year. It is a great way to grow, serve and get connected at Incarnation.

Voice and Handbell Choirs

Rehearsal times and start dates for the vocal and handbell choirs are beginning Fall 2012, will be available late summer 2012.

Instrumental
Periodically during the year instrumental ensembles will rehearsal and play for the 8:45 a.m. and 10:05 a.m. worship services. These ensembles are used to accompany congregational hymn singing and service music as well as playing preludes, offering, anthems, and postludes. Interested instrumentals are encouraged to contact Dave Ellison for more information.

10:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Worship Bands
The worship bands lead the music portion of worship for both the 10:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. worship services. These contemporary bands provide music leadership for congregational singing, as well as music for the gathering, offering and postlude portions of the worship. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Sean Turner for more information.

Primary Music
Primary music classes are offered for three – five year olds. Children must be three by September 1, 2012. This program is offered as a way young children can experience music while having FUN! The music activities are sequenced according to the developmental needs of the children. Lessons include movement, listening, vocal development, and playing instruments.

A Fall and a Winter/Spring session are typically offered. Each session is 10-weeks long.
