IGNITE Confirmation is in the process of changing from 6th - 8th grade
to 7th to 9th grade. For the 2012 school year, IGNITE Confirmation is for students who will be in the 7th grade (IGNITE 7) or
8th grade (Level 3/IGNITE 8) during the 2012-2013 school year. Students entering
5th or 6th grade will participate in IGNITE 5/6 on Wednesdays
from 6 - 7 p.m. Learn more about the changes that are in process.
Please note: 5th graders also have the option of participating in SPARK Kids Club on Tuesday nights during the school year. They can choose either option or both.
The IGNITE 5/6 and IGNITE Confirmation Registration Event was April 25th. If you still need to register your child, please bring the following forms and your child to the Incarnation Office.In order to register for IGNITE 5/6: - Complete the appropriate registration form and have your child complete the All About Me form.
- Bring those completed forms and your child to the Incarnation Office. Someone will take a photo of your child which will be used in forming small groups and helping your child's teacher get to know them.
- If your child is in 6th grade, they are eligible for service opportunities like acolyting, serving treats, and other Sunday service opportunities. To volunteer, please complete the Called to Serve form.
- Also bring a check for $20 payable to Incarnation Lutheran Church
In order to register for IGNITE Confirmation (7th or 8th Grade): - Read the letter sent out with the registration packet.
- Read the 2012-2013 IGNITE Confirmation Handbook. This document explains how things work and what is expected of students and parents. By registering for IGNITE Confirmation you agree to these expectations and practices.
- Download the two page Called to Serve form. Select one service opportunity for the student and one for the parent.
- Download and have your student complete the All About Me form, which will be used in forming groups and to introduce your child to their guide.
- If your child is currently in Confirmation, the primary registration form was pre-printed for you and is in the registration packet that your received in the mail or your child received at Confirmation. If you are new to Incarnation, download and complete the appropriate form: IGNITE 7 (7th grade) IGNITE 8 (8th grade)
- To register, please come to the Incarnation Office with the following:
- Your child(ren) who will be registering. We will take a digital photo of them. Even if we have a photo on file, it is important to take a new photo each year because at this age they change so much from year to year.
- Any forms you have filled out in advance (Called to Serve, 2 pages; Health Form; All About Me; and corrections, if any, to registration form.)
- A form of payment for the fee (either check or credit card). Please note, scholarships are available. Contact Shawna Berg for more information.
- Please mark your calendar now with the dates of your child's overnight retreat:
- IGNITE 8 / 8th Grade "I Believe" Retreat at Camp Wapo Saturday, January 26 at 9:45 a.m. to Sunday, January 27, 2013 (returning to Incarnation around 1 p.m.).
