Below is a list of ongoing Called to Serve opportunities available at Incarnation. Service opportunities in Our Local Community and Current Mission Opportunities can be found on their respective pages. Whether you are a member of the Incarnation faith community, an active participant, or new guest, you are invited to participate in any of the below ministries. We invite you to join us as we Serve God and all people in the model of Jesus Christ.
Morning Worship Greeter Warmly greet morning worshipers from at entrances and in large gathering spaces.
Evening/Special Events Greeter Warmly greet participants coming to Incarnation for evening and/or weekend events.
Morning Usher Seat worshipers, distribute bulletins, collect offering, lead worshipers to communion stations, and help provide a meaningful distraction-free worship experience.
Information Center Host Welcome and provide information to people visiting the Information Center before and after morning worship services.
Parking Lot Host Assist those entering the Incarnation property to help provide a pleasant and safe experience in the parking lot before morning worship services.
Baptismal Host Warmly greet, provide instructions, and photograph the family and sponsor(s) of a child or adult being baptized. New Member Reception Host Warmly
greet people the day they are to be received as new members and also
assist with name tags, corsages, and take photographs.
Food Service/Funeral & Special Event Setup Assist
the kitchen coordinator with table setting, food preparation, and clean
up before and after funerals and special events. Note: Dishwashing is
handled by the Kitchen Team.
Kitchen Team With a team of individuals, provide dishwashing services for large events, including Lenten Soup Suppers and funerals.
6:00 Worship Treat Server Prepare treat table before worship, pour beverages, and clean up following worship. Summer Treat Server Serve refreshments between morning worship services during summer months. (Note: During the fall, winter, and spring months, this is a Confirmation service project for students and their families.)
*Parent Co-op Nursery Assistant Assist in the nursery caring for children newborn through 3 years during worship, weekdays, or weeknights as needed
*Sunday School Teacher/Assistant Provide/assist with faith learning for children 3 years through 5th grade, September through May
*Vacation Bible School Teacher/Assistant Provide/assist with VBS learning, crafts, music, or food preparation for children preschool through 5th grade two weeks during the summer
*LOGOS (3rd 5th grade program) Assistant Assist with food preparation, large motor activities, crafts, Bible study, or be a Table Parent during the mealtime.
*For Called to Serve opportunities that involve working directly with youth 18 years and younger, we ask that you be a member of Incarnation for at least 6 months or partner with a member, and obtain a background check. This policy exists for the safety of the children involved in the ministries as well as the protection of the adults serving. Thank you for your understanding.
*Middle School Ministry Leader/Assistant Assist with Middle School programming, including leading a Confirmation small group, assisting with fellowship activities, and other supervision on Wednesday nights during Confirmation.
Confirmation Prayer Partner Support a young person with your prayers and notes of encouragement in the last months prior to his/her Confirmation, and attend the fall Celebration of Passage service.

*High School Ministry Leader Assist with high school programming, which may include assisting with the basketball league, worship, fellowship activities, or learning/small groups.

Sunday Morning Kairos Setup/Convener Set up refreshments for Kairos adult Sunday morning learning opportunity and introduce the speaker.
Library Action Group Meet as a team every 2nd Tuesday of the month at noon to determine which resources will reside in the Incarnation library and maintain the collection.
Bible Keys Discussion Leader Lead table discussions during fall or winter Bible Keys study.
Lifetimes & Bulletin Assembly With a team of individuals, assemble the Lifetimes newsletter on Tuesday afternoons every other week and worship bulletins on Thursday afternoons every week.
Cemetery Maintenance Assist with the grounds maintenance of Incarnations cemetery on County Road J in Shoreview.
Landscape Maintenance Assist with the landscaping and maintenance of growing plants and lawn mowing on Incarnations property.
